Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Josh’s journey into ministry has been shaped by a wide range of life experiences, cultural settings, and church environments. He grew up in the inner city of Cleveland, Ohio, and later moved to Ashtabula, Ohio as a teenager—where he met his wife at a small country church. Those early experiences, spanning both urban and rural contexts, continue to inform his heart for people and his passion for the local church.

In 2003, Pastor Josh sensed a clear calling from God into full-time ministry. He pursued theological training at Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Theology, and later completed a Master’s degree in Apologetics from Liberty University. His academic background reflects both a deep commitment to Scripture and a desire to help people think clearly and confidently about their faith.

Following graduation, Pastor Josh served in a variety of ministry roles across multiple states and church settings, including Cleveland, Ohio; Fort Bragg/Fayetteville, North Carolina; Lakeland, Florida; Rincon, Georgia; and now Savannah, Georgia. Over the years, he has served as a Youth Pastor, College Pastor, NextGen Pastor, Interim Pastor, and Associate Pastor—ministering in churches ranging from just 15 people to congregations of more than 3,000. These experiences have shaped a pastoral approach that values both strong biblical teaching and genuine, relational discipleship.

Pastor Josh’s heart is especially rooted in missions and in helping the local church engage its community with compassion, clarity, and purpose. He believes the church exists not only to gather on Sundays, but to faithfully represent Christ in everyday life.

In 2025, God placed a clear burden on Pastor Josh’s heart to plant a church in the Savannah area. That calling soon intersected with West Chatham Baptist Church, where the vision for a new church plant and the revitalization of an existing congregation came together in a powerful and unexpected way. After a season of prayer, discernment, and conversation with church leadership, it became clear that this was the place God had prepared for him to serve and lead.

Outside of ministry, Pastor Josh’s greatest joy is time spent with his wife and their four sons. He leads with a pastor’s heart, a shepherd’s patience, and a deep love for both people and the city God has called him to serve.
